Critic Ruth Lopez visits class for final critiques

We are excited to host arts journalist and critic Ruth Lopez for the final critiques in Wired Writing on Monday December 15th. Please make every effort to be on time to class. Below is a bit more about Ruth.
Ruth Lopez is an arts journalist based in Chicago. She is the author of
“Chocolate: The Nature of Indulgence” (Harry Abrams, 2002) published in
conjunction with a traveling exhibition organized by The Field Museum.
Lopez was the Book Review Editor and arts writer for the Santa Fe New
Mexican for seven years. In 2005, she helped launch Time Out Chicago
and the Art & Design editor for three years. She is a former fellow of
the National Arts Journalism Program at Columbia University and of the
literary journalism program at The Banff Centre. Lopez serves on the
board of the Neighborhood Writing Alliance, a Chicago-based non-profit
that creates opportunities for adults in low-income Chicago
neighborhoods to write, publish and perform works about their lives. As
an independent journalist, Lopez has contributed to numerous media
outlets including The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street
Journal, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Public Radio,
Interior Design, Art News, Fiber Arts, mensvogue.com and Raw Vision.
